Hi all,
Not posted over the last year, change in job role and very busy with completing a uni course. Been keeping any eye on all your updates and boxes though, quite eggciting.
My box has not been used for the last 4 years after we lost a neighbouring tree. Prior to that we always had blue tits nesting, last year we took the plate off the entrance to try and entice Great tits, still no joy though.
On Saturday, I noticed some material appeared in the box (nothing new there though), but that is where it has stopped during the last few years. Checked the box Sunday to see half the box filled with material. Monday, the nest had a nest cup, Tuesday the arrival of soft furnishings (aka feathers).
Today, the nest appears to be practically complete. Great tit has been bringing in more soft furnishings.
I'm guessing I could be in luck this year, I'm keeping everything crossed.
