Hi Ann Unfortunately I didn't see it in real time but thanks to my recorder and camera holding out it was a tender moment for the happy couple and for me to observe. Hi Paul Yes, it does seem a bit of a long time between finishing the nest and laying, have we had this situation before can't remember? but I'm sure you are right in your thinking. Flo is still coming in at night so I've been expecting to see a white blob first thing in the morning like you. The weather hasn't been warm here and the oaks aren't in leaf yet across on our green belt so think they must be watching for the signs before kicking off. I have had only one pair of Starlings visit since the nesting wriggle video so not holding much hope out there, but after over 125 visits since February I will be disappointed if nothing comes of it.
