Oh crumbs, what a nightmare for you seeing that, it's bad enough reading about it! Thankfully everything is OK & I hope the rest of your bird families remain safe from Sparrow Hawks. 
I was gardening all day again yesterday & saw sparrows going into the ivy on our Big Shed a lot, so it looks as though my sparrow watching will pay off again this year too. The great tits visited our box early in the morning again, nothing further though.
