Yes thats a possibility Paul about the nest being disturbed, but this is what i think.
I think they are just going through the motions while away from the other nest, from my experience of GT's i would expect material coming in
and for her to roost in the box and not to end visits at about 3-4pm.
Anyway i just thought i would share this behavior with everyone, i find it quite intriguing.... if thats the right word for it.
