Natalie, so very sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you as I lost my mum at this time of year. I will admit I found comfort in watching my birds in the days after her death ,and they gave me comfort as whilst she had dementia she also had blue tits nest in an old box we put up and she spent many an excited hour watching them. So watching my birds brings back lovely memories of her. We all grieve in our own way but I found occupying myself and being on the forum helped me in some way. May not be for you and I understand that. Our thoughts will be with you in the many hard days to come, and we look forward to seeing your posts again once you feel ready. Big hugs.
