There is still an awful lot we don’t understand about them. I can understand them building a second nest - just in case, but emptying the nest is a new one on me. Really don’t understand why they would use up the energy unnecessarily - strange. Having said that mine does more emptying than filling 
. Maybe if I could see in the nest I might have a fairly empty shock. Just trying to stay positive and hope the nest is successful. Really really do hope it happens for you.
