Thanks Paul - yes, it is all very consistent with what happened last year. A couple of early morning visits, then nothing all day, and also a few weeks of disappearing in March (or only visiting the outside of the box - my motion detector doesn't always go off for that any more, so I wouldn't know). In fact if it wasn't for everyone else's early starts I wouldn't be worrying at all, so I'll sit tight. I've never really had the big numbers of visits in a day that some seem to get - one or two is a good day for any particular box - but this was the same last year. When they finally decided, they came 7 times the day before and then about 30 visits on the morning that nest building started, including first "wriggle", before material started coming in about lunch time. So it basically started with a bang! Fingers crossed for same this year.
