Yep - not pleasant to watch close up, but we have to remember that this would all be happening whether we were watching or not.
It's been a strange spring - incredibly dry - I am wondering if that might have something to do with it? Time-wise the birds seem about where they normally are, and it wasn't a particularly cold spring at all.
