I think overhead is great for the early stages Pete, but I do like the sideview when they start to get a little bigger. Very hard to count eggs and chicks on the sideview though, and often blocked from a clear view by the edge of the nest cup, so they are both a bit of a compromise. Multiple cameras required!

Something for next year, maybe - if I can manage to buy another raspberry pi or two in time (and the other bits, and have the time to actually work out a plan for it!).
I bet if I did manage it, the BTs would choose somewhere else to nest and prove that this year's events were a fluke one-off!
