Thanks Springtime and Starling, here is a little update.
Last night hubby frantically made a small heat block and hung it in the box just inside the entrance hole to help overnight. Poor man then got up at stupid o clock to remove it before the parents turned up. The parents turned up 20 mins later, again reluctant to go in at first. The Chicks all looked cold and not begging for the food, after a while and the sun coming up they all responded really well and both parents still feeding then.
I don't know if the nest will survive the next two weeks, we will have to see. If she does not sit tonight we'll probably put the heat source back in 🤷
