Sorry about your BT's Paul, Sadly these little birds are often predated. We lost our female 3 seasons ago to a Sparrow hawk.
We had a real issue with a Sparrow hawk that hid in our Fir tree and picked off many birds at the feeder. Then last Autumn I fixed a small plastic "Little Owl" on the perch the Sparrow hawk used. I left it there for 3 weeks in which time the hawk and many small birds would not come near. I took it down and the hawk has not been back and the small birds gradually returned to the feeders.
Great watching the Robins, Wren and Dunnocks though. That Dunnock nest is a work or art and the blue eggs are amazing!!
I think we have Dunnocks, wood Pigeons and Blackbirds nesting in our Ivy but it is about 2 metres thick on both sides of the fence and spotting the nests is impossible as its so dense.
