Like you Sammi, I have never been able to tell the blue tits sexes apart. Usually it is just their actions that give it away but like Karen has said maybe it is a modern male getting on with helping out. Whatever, I hope it is a really successful nest for you - certainly coming on well.
Loving watching the sparrows. Only time I ever had a camera to watch and it was sparrows that nested and they built their nest so high up it obliterated the camera and I couldn’t see a thing til the chicks were several days old. Hopefully yours will be more considerate
