Bird box with clear roof

I built my latest box with a clear twin wall polycarbonate roof to give maximum light for the camera. I’ve put ‘windows’ in the side walls of other boxes and birds have nested in previous years. However I’m beginning to wonder if too much light in the new box is putting off potential nesters. I haven’t yet got any takers. Does anyone have any experience of/ideas about this? TIA
