I thought I would share with you all something I am doing at work, I work in a residential home for elderly people, it has a large garden with a pond surrounded in mature trees and hedges, there are many birds around but not a single bird feeder in sight, so I am beginning to introduce feeders and also I have put some bird boxes up(which one is getting a great deal of interest from the Blue tits) I have ordered a cheap feeding station that I plan to place in front of the sun room so the residents can see them come and go, I so enjoy watching the birds and believe it is very therapeutic and will I hope give the residents great joy. One lady who stays in her room which faces onto the carpark cannot see the goings on in the main garden so I placed some ground feeders and a small bird bath in a large planter just outside her window which she sits and watches and she has told me she is getting Blackbirds and a Robin visited yesterday, it is great to see her delight when telling me what she has seen. I will post some pics up when I get all set up fully. Anyone else do any thing similar at their work place.
