Thanks Matt. Your theory sounds highly plausible.
Ironically, no sooner have I said it's all a bit quiet, than I look out of the window about an hour ago and see the male BT pop right into my new box and spend about 4 minutes in there, sometimes poking his head out and clearly doing a thorough scope-out of the joint.
Of course I wasn't running a recording on that camera stream... of course not...
