Thanks Paul I'm sure it'll all be OK The contrast does improve as the light conditions change so it may just be the different natural light getting into the box.I just need a bit of colour in there to see (like a bluetit maybe 
))..very quiet in all my boxes at the moment which seems to be the norm. Rest of the week looking very windy so maybe after that we'll see some action 
I'll give the lights a little longer ....they have such different surroundings that it's hard to compare like for like and I'll try to photograph each one from outside to see if I'm just imagining the difference in the LEDs it might even be the angle in looking into the boxes as one is higher off the ground than the other.
