Interesting visitor seen yesterday clinging on to the box entrance with it's beak just having a good old stare into the interior We're plagued with Ring-necked parakeets round here - a whole load of them congregate in some nearby trees each morning and evening. As soon as this one made its way towards the box the GT + BTs hurried back to the vicinity, hopping about looking very agitated and making lots of alarm calls. At least it shows they feel they have a claim to it! I've been trying to find a moment to sort out my dodgy camera - I cleaned all the power supply connections and found one of them to be somewhat clogged with moisture, which can't have been helping. Dried it out, reconnected everything, and at first the camera seemed to be more stable. But alas it fell over in a big heap again mid-morning today.... something still not right! My replacement cam has arrived, as has my side-view box with IP cam. Trying to decide where to put it up. Does anyone know if it's a bad idea to have two boxes quite close to each other - e.g. in the same tree, or thereabouts? I'd be putting a 25mm plate on the new one wherever it ends up, so it'd be a BT-only exclusive.
