Karen I’ve got the green feathers deluxe Wi-Fi camera kit (nest box included) with led lamp. The led lamp has never really been strong enough to flip the camera into daylight mode on it’s own….it seems to need a bit of help from the daylight coming through the entrance hole. This means that at this time of year the camera is clicking back and forth between daylight and infrared a lot, especially if a bird perches at the entrance hole indecisively: I’m starting to think the clicking sound (which is quite loud) is causing the BTs to be curious as to what’s up in the roof space where the noise comes from, so hence they fly up to where the camera is fixed to peck about and investigate! I wonder whether the clicking noise is also slightly freaking them out, especially the more cautious female BTs, as they get greeted with it whenever they arrive and block the daylight.
The camera’s little wifi antenna is quite vulnerable and also with the box being quite far from the house the wifi signal isn’t particularly strong so the whole setup is a bit fragile!
