Hi Chris - I'm fairly new to all this and only put my nest box up late Jan last year - but I have greenfeathers box + wifi cam + led lamp, too, and whilst I initially worried about the lamp putting off birds, it's now clear to me it doesn't bother them at all.
I read somewhere birds' eyes have tons more receptors in them than human eyes so what we'd consider a naturally dark nest box is perceived differently by a bird anyway.
