great to hear from you Paul, glad the job is going well. 
Excellent idea to use a woodpecker box I am sure the birds will take to it with its modifications. Really look forward to see what next seasons bring 
I have noticed around my garden that we have a good population of BTs I counted 8 in one go a few days ago, plenty of young mixed in with them, so hope that bodes good things next year.
In the meantime my rooster came back early September I believe it is Kate, she sleeps in the exact same position. Have your roosters come back yet?Hogs are very quiet though, not had any food eaten for a few weeks
but I recall a quiet spell last year this time too, so hopefully they will be back soon.
