I recently made some new nest boxes, and one has a pair of obscure perspex windows, the other a 12 volt LED light. The picture clarity and colour during the day is more than acceptable with either but, I think the LED is more vivid.
The windowed box currently has an occupant but, early days with the lit box.
The LED seems a great idea and apparaently doesn’t bother the birds?
