, Hastings appearances have been sporadic but he has been around quite frequent the past two days, with lots off courtship feeding, perhaps his body clock is saying his chicks are nearly arriving and is time to step up to the plate, the other male which showed her attention has disappeared.
One thing I have noticed here there does seem to be a larger number of BTs in the garden from past years, lots coming and taking food away to feed chicks and pairs coming and feeding together. Population must be doing well and hopefully in a little while there will be 8 more joining them
