Day 7 of incubation here in North Yorkshire, all going pretty normally, then a short while ago I heard sounds from the tv and went to investigate Kate was standing over the nest with a waxworm and chattering into the nest like they do when one hatches trying to get them to open their mouths, I cant see any sign of a chick and they are not due till the 24th! There was another BT looking in through the entrance hole, I didnt get chance to see who. Heaven knows what is going on now. Anyway she ended up eating the worm then sat back onto the nest.
