I’m literally bobbing in quickly to keep you all updated. I think we have 7 hatched or maybe 8, but we have defo got 3 unmatched that I can see underneath them. My mealworms actually arrived Saturday late afternoon so I got them out quick as poss, i soon realised they wasn’t going to use the Scott feeders no matter what, and still up to now they aren’t using them, problem is that I put mealworms out and all birds in neighbourhood is helping themselves & also when it’s rained the tubs fill with water and I think the mealworms are drowning I tried to cover them but then Mr & Mrs wouldn’t come for them, I’m in a catch 22! im not sure I’ll need them anymore anyway, cos mum didn’t come home tonight, reason being, there was a magpie helping itself to the mealworms, I noticed it was here yesterday aswel. This was a picture from this afternoon, I’m still not sure if there aren’t another 1 or 2 underneath them moving, my hubby & I thinks there is more than you can see. . keep all your fingers crossed for them and hopefully mum will be back first thing, and hopefully they last the night and don’t freeze The parents were working brilliantly as a team, I just can’t believe it.
