Ok the mystery of the chirping sparrow has been solved! we have a claimant on the triple nest chamber I have on the side of the house, caught him going in the central hole at the front of the box yesterday with a bit of material sadly there is no camera in this box, I don't think he is paired yet due to the racket he has been making but will see if I can spot a female at some point! it's funny as I had originally put this box up in 2016 for sparrows but none ever went near it though the first year we did have a bluetit nest and then it was used for roosting only by bluetits in the subsequent years. Managed to snap this pic of him at the box yesterday: ![]()
