I hav'nt seen the male around for about a week now, I did see one in the garden the other day but they usually bump into each other in the box if both birds are about.
The female is very bold when I put the meal worms out the food stand is right next to a rose bush and she doesn't budge when I rehang the feeder she is about a foot away from my face and at face height it's wonderful seeing her this close.
One brood is enough for me these days Ann but it could happen.
