This morning I have seen a new aggressive male in the tree.He has not worked out how to get into the cage feeder yet though. He has peered into the nest a couple of times and Sandy looked defensive. Danny is nowhere to be seen 😠and so everything has changed. Sandy will no longer go in the cage feeder,and is off the nest more frequently in search of food (or Danny). This is not looking good 😔
Just completely different behaviour really. Danny was feeding really well in the cage, but this male cannot seem to get in and has not fed in the feeder at all. They're not hanging around together, which they always did and his actions look different too.
I'm not totally giving up on him, sandy now only sits on the nest for 5 mins then is back out looking for food. Before now though she would have polished off the mealworms. 🤔
