Nice photo Karen. Our Sparrowhawk is attracted by the colony of Sparrows that have grown over the year. Two days ago I witnessed it take the third bird that I have seen it grab this year. Each time a pursuit ensues as it never gets the victim first time. It takes about 10 - 15 seconds but ultimately it gets its prey. I never seem to have enough time to get out the back door to disturb it. I don't believe Pauls method would work with this persistent bugger, it does not give up!
