ELLE 2021

   Everyone, what can I say, I was convinced the female had packed her bags and moved out, well she did  , but then she didn’t move far, she’s only gone and built her nest in the box which I thought was going to be the ‘decoy’ box. I have to say though it has been a rollercoaster, and at one point I was dancing with her cos I swear she was doing the Hokey Cokey, In out, In out, shake it all about!!   In a way I’m glad she’s picked this box on the fence cos we are having our extension roof redone in the middle of may and they would have put scaffolding up the wall which would have covered the box on house wall (angle box). 
She’s built this nest in a few days and has brought feathers in today and started sleeping in already, which I don’t think has happened this quick. I think this maybe a new mum cos yesterday I would have sworn she’d laid an egg on wooden floor, but there were still a lot of wood showing in the nest cup, but today, lots of feathers and she’s in nest cup tonight. Don’t actually know what’s going on 


forgot to mention there was a fight with this fellow first before the bluetit won, they had locked on claws and spiralling all over the garden, it wasn’t pleasant to watch as they both lay on grass exhausted. Bluetits always rule in this garden whenever they’ve been at loggerheads in the past.
