Same with the blue tits here Matt, Our females always pick the boxes without the male.
Its been a few years since I have had a male bringing a female into the box that shes not been in before, Its always the females spending time in them and the male finally clocks on and starts coming in aswell with her.
So her interest in the side box is very promising don't worry where tony is going hes got no say in the box
