Oh heck Pete, what a disaster!  I'm so sorry to read this news of yours but at least one consolation is that she is still alive & that would have been even worse news. I can't help with your problem of how to deal with the mouse, luckily I don't have that problem here as there are too many cats about - they are my problem with my frogs & froglets as they kill them. Thanks for answering my question, but I've only seen one robin - the one who took the worms is the same one who scoffs the fat balls all the time & dives into the bush again to digest them I suppose, before coming back out again for another scoff! It's a huge thick bush & there may be a nest in it but I daren't move any branches to have a look as I'm terrified of any bird flying out! I put a few photos of our garden in a thread on here, so will find the relevant one to show you.
