March is pretty normal for the first material for me Karen, Only year it was late was 2018 when we had that extremely cold weather and snow.
Heres a little year by year of my first material, I don't normally get "proper" building until late March though, Normally between 22nd - 27th is when they normally get stuck in!
2014 - 24th March
2015 - 27th March
2016 - 20th March
2017 - 10th March
2018 - 1st April (late this year due to beast from the east very cold feb / march)
2019 - 13th March
2020 - 4th March
2021 - 15th March
