Paul for those lovely photos & yes, when I see sparrows in the garden they do look just brown with markings on. I seem to have more sparrows than any other birds in our garden, always on the feeders & having baths, so maybe a nest will be built in our Big Shed ivy on the front. (Not forgetting the ivy on the even bigger side of it.) At least I would be able to see them from the kitchen, going to and fro with no problem.
