Yeah, definitely looks like bird poo doesn't it Paul! There is a little white bit on the side as well, which wasn't there yesterday.. I don't think I have ever been as pleased to see a poo? 
I don't mind too much not seeing it in there, so long as the evidence of it going in is there. Will be interesting now to watch what happens over the next few nights. Now we are having this cold snap, that might be what is driving them indoors?
