I've seen a sparrow going into the ivy on our Big Shed a few times over the past days, I can see this happen from our kitchen window, so I'm hopeful that something is going to happen there. 
We have some more ivy on a fence which is more or less sunny all day in the Summer & yesterday I decided that I must get rid of it completely as I can't stay in the sun long enough to keep it under control. Starting tomorrow whenever it's in shade (until about 11.30 at this time of year) I am going to carefully make a start on it before anything shows an interest in that one.
