I'm late catching up with this thread. I am originally from the north west so most of my family and friends are in the worst hit areas. We are so lucky where we are in Cornwall to be relatively safe (not really the right word) There was real fear during the holiday season as the population increased ten fold but things seemed to still be under control. I hope you all stay safe and that the measures in place work to stop the spread. We are in the over 70 group so try our best to minimise contact but are fortunate to still be able to see our grandchildren and had a bit of a scare when our 4yr old gd developed a temperature a couple of days after we had helped out with childcare. The 2 days we waited for her test results to come through were not pleasant but the negative result came back and we could all breathe again🙂
