Thanks all, I swear I didnt go near that box next door! 
With regards to the Robin box I put it there as the bush in font of it is very thick and hides it away down the side of the summer house, but I feel it does need to be nestled into something, I have a honeysuckle and a ivy that are getting thicker and also a evergreen bush so will see about moving it.
