Could of been a number of things, Magpie, Cat, Squirrel.
Even a Rat sadly, That happened to our Robin nest a few years ago, Rat wiped the full lot out literally picked them up and took it with it and kept coming back and finally upturned the nest.
My guess would be, Cat, Rat or Magpie.
