Hi everyone,
I’m sorry I’ve been really bad at keeping up to date with everything this year .
Anyway, have read most posts and a big well done to everyone and congrats to Paul on his Spring Watch item.
After 5 successive years of something going wrong, this year has been text book ok. Two very good parents , a decent deep nest (no kicking the chicks out this year)
and constant feeding of.mealworms.
All 10 fledged 3 weeks ago and were brought back to feeder after a few days. They are now feeding themselves mealworms and fat balls .
I’m having to ration them as I think they’d just sit in the tree eating worms all day as fast as I could fill the feeder.😳
I don’t know if all 10 are still there as it’s impossible to count them . I’m pretty sure at least 7 are around but they flitter around so much I don’t know if I’ve counted some of them twice..
I’ve had no trouble with Live foods direct . One order took an extra day to come but that was when the PO was struggling. Now they are coming next day as usual.
Hope everyone has a good ending to this season when we can all do with cheering up . 👍
