Aw Diane glad to read your chicks have fledged safely, nice in a way that one hung around to say thank you to you for giving its mum a place to birth him/her! I have often wondered what the ratio of males to females are? I think Chris Packham says the males are usually the most active in the nest and the females quieter but without detailed examination the lay person would find it difficult to ascertain really. Anyhow long may they survive and come back for a revisit next year to nest with you again - such beauties.
