for that I think they are about equal actually looking at yours. I think you got a bargain for 30 pound, I just went on Amazon reviews but you never know if they are really genuine. 
. I obviously have much to learn about these yet, today I have used it on motion detect only but the gales haven't helped as I had to go through many frames! I have Photofun Studio program on my computer so once the Sandisc is inserted it automatically shows me still photographs which is really helpful. I then choose the frame I want and bingo.
I've set the Apeman to record constantly tomorrow to get a feel for the video side of it, my only worry is how to edit the film, you know I gave up with Cheapcam
Tomorrow I will set it to record video to see which is better.
You are so lucky to have Hedges haven't seen one here in years! listen to their munching ...aaah
