Hope trail cam arrives in time for you to get footage Kathy, be wonderful to see  Sue Super speedy delivery Sue. I ordered at 8.30am yesterday and arrived by 6.00pm thanks to express delivery and Amazon! I wasn't expecting a lot for what I paid but if anyone is interested it was APEMAN MINI cost £49.99 plus Sim card etc. It will allow me to see the chicks fledge and I have my outside camera to see where they land. Hubby has mounted it on a pole and placed it close to the nest as possible without disturbing them so fingers crossed! However, it does not match up to your bt in flight which I still have on my computer because I loved it! Wow, that was quick Kathy, and double quick to get it up and running. Looking forward to seeing all the brilliant footage/captures you will get with it. I am very flattered that you have a pic of mine Kathy, if it’s the one i’m Thinking of, I too am quite pleased with that one (wings outspread with poo sac in beak?), that one was really just a very lucky snap - I was sat watching the feeding of chicks leading up to fledging and kept missing the flight (snapping a bit too soon or too late) so I tried ‘panning’ the bird in flight and snapping as it went. Hey presto , I got the shot I was hoping for. Still love using my camera but not had much opportunity of late what with lockdown and the birds deciding against my box. Walked along the river Stour for my exercise a few days ago and lucky enough to find a great spotted woodpecker nest and parents busily feeding chicks so that was enjoyable. Good luck with yours fledging. Now you are set up well you shouldn’t miss the big event. Sue |
