This is really sad to hear Amanda. Have you a full recording of the days available to track back through. I remember some years ago I lost half of my brood and on running back through the days concerned, which revealed the three chicks were the youngest and were being pushed out by the three eldest when it came to feeding, which was very infrequent, consequently getting weaker by the hour and eventually died.
That was in the early days when I wasn't buying mealworms, so they were relying on naturally available food, which must have been in short supply.
However after getting mealies, the three remaining chicks fledged successfully. I'm sure you are getting mealies, so it might be that the 'bully boys' are always at the front of the queue and getting most of the feeds?
