Sue & Paul, thanks for your replies & good wishes. We'll have to wait a while until the weather gets warmer to see our family in the garden. They will be able to get from the front of the house via the garage & then through to the garden.
Seeing as it's 100 feet long approximately, we'll both be able to keep a very long distance away from them.
