Thanks for all your comments guys, but after the euphoria yesterday of the new egg and Tim's fledge (finally), it's back to reality with a bump this morning.
I switched the recorder on around 6am and Meg was diligently covering the nestcup in order to vacate the box, so I wound back to 0530 and found that, to my disappointment, there were still only 2 eggs - one of which, I presume, was the addled one from, probably, March!
Has she got a mental blank at 2 eggs, or is it a hiccup? I'll wait until tomorrow to see what that brings!
