Day 11 of incubation.... and the end of my 6 week 'sojourn' at home. I'm going back to work today to put the 'COVID 19 Return to Business Safety Protocols' in place before the construction industry opens up officially in Ireland next Monday. I'll be working on that for the rest of the week to ensure all the criteria boxes are ticked and get the company physically ready for the 'new normal'. I have to say, the break has been great.....I never took one second for granted, and was thankful for every second at home...we got the chance to move into this house properly at last, put pictures on the wall, find stuff we thought we'd lost, sorted out cupboards and made plans for the garden. The constant unprecedented hot, sunny weather was a welcome blessing, the time spent with my kids (when they surfaced - they actually have a lot to say - lol!), cat conundrums, bird boxes, wasps, gardening, planting seeds, watching them grow and just the buzz of nature all around..... just the slower paced way of life....drinking and eating too much also! I binge watched 'Tiger King', 'The English Game', enjoyed all six series of 'Community', and finally got to see 'Bohemian Rhapsody', caught up with people online via 'House Party' and the joy of not having to worry about getting up early the next morning....and oh the lie ins!! One could almost forgot the reason why we were home in the first place.....but then the reality sets in....and the realisation of the danger all around us...and the fear returns. There is a long battle ahead with this virus - hopefully, there will be a cure soon. Stay safe all....I'll be mad busy now going forward, but will update you if any chicks appear. A few pics as of this morning: Mother still happy, healthy and attentive: Three eggs still in place:
