That is great news Benn. You nearly had a mob on your hands marching up the moors with pitchforks and torches!! ha,ha!! "Stay clear of the moors" etc, etc..ha,ha!!! 
Nah, I understood that of course, its never straight forward. Its a tricky situation alright, especially when neighbour relations are involved and its not your roof!!. I'm sure if they could have done it another time they would have....but great to hear that they were open to the suggestion of moving a nest.
I think I was just hopeful that it wouldn't happen, knowing the law is on the birds side...and that the roofers would know this anyway and hold off but, as it turns out, it looks like the birds are saved by a timing technicality!! Fate has intervened...Yay!!!
