Just a quick update to say there has been nothing for a few days apart from a probable visit to the rooster box in the daytime but only a quick visit to the outside. Also one quick head in the entrance visit to my fence box. The rooster still uses the patio box and messes the floor with mainly feathers at the moment....so must be getting into tip top courting condition 
There is lots of singing in the trees around so I'm still hopeful.
