We have a a new "Rossendale Wildlife" Facebook group that has just started here in the last week. There are a couple of amazing wildlife photographers contributing and some of the pictures are fantastic. Lots of pictures of badgers, foxes, hedgehogs and deer in peoples back gardens and some rare birds and even Otters in our local rivers which I found astounding. However, I posted up a couple of video clips from the boxes a few days ago and the response was amazing with dozens wanting more. So I posted these 3 up today. First up is Mrs Wallbox Blue tit, second is Mistress Shed box Blue Tit from yesterday in a 15 minute solitary spell of building (Sorry PaulI missed this episode when I replied to you yesterday). Third is our three 5 day old Robins. Mrs Robin is now leaving them for longer periods to help hubby hunt for food. I have found a way to give them mealworms without attracting Magpies and Crows and avoiding the deluge of Sparrows that empty the bowl in 5 mins!!! I put them out around 8:30pm just around dusk when most birds disappear to roost. Robins are still active until it goes completely dark and I notice they start very early around 4:30am before first light. This gives them around 90 mins of "Robin only" access to the worms.
