 Elle, Thank you for your lovely message & there's no need to feel awful about not seeing my original post. I have trouble keeping up with all the posts on here - just reading them all! I'm making a little progress everyday as I go upstairs & downstairs a lot, very carefully (my marathon!  ) and the pain is bearable. Belated congratulations  on becoming a Grandma for the first time - it's wonderful isn't it, but time flies. My eldest one is 22 now (called Eleanor after my Grandma), but from her birth everyone calls her Ellie except us! It was an emergency caesarian & it was five days before we met her as we lived 75 miles away & my husband was working full time then. The good news is that great tits are using my one & only box, flying to and fro & two families of sparrows are nesting in the ivy, plus one blackbird family. A robin family is nesting in a Red Robin bush which is very appropriate.
